My name is Niyousha, Psychoanalyst based in France. I am someone whose lifelong passion has been the human mind and the inner worlds we all carry. From a young age, I found myself immersed in literature and theater – spaces that allowed me to connect more deeply with human experience and the natural world. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to questions of equality, freedom, discrimination, self-expression, and power – especially as they manifest within the relationship between individuals and society.
Over the years, two disciplines have shaped my way of thinking profoundly: psychoanalysis and philosophy. They introduced me to a way of being in the world where questioning and critical reflection became essential – tools for both understanding and transformation.
More recently, my interest has moved beyond personal inquiry toward shared growth – how we come to awareness and change in collective spaces.
This shift led to the co-fo unding of Coempowered, a space built on the belief that thinking and becoming are collaborative acts.
Through this platform, I’ve had the chance to channel my tools and experiences into group work that centers empathy, discovery, and transformation – work that is deeply reciprocal, as I continuously learn from the students, gaining new insights, perspectives, and tools for thinking and change.
One of the most meaningful expressions of this has been our workshops with students, which we called A Room of One’s Own. In these sessions, we come together to explore our individuality within the collective, using the languages of psychoanalysis, philosophy, and creativity.
These gatherings are not limited to academic reading or theory; we also write, imagine, paint, and use color to give form to the emotional and embodied dimensions of our being.
What I value most about these spaces is the practice of deep listening – listening not only to others, but to ourselves in ways we may not have before.
Each person brings words and images that spark something in others – recognition, memory, new insight. It’s in this mutual exchange that true co-creation happens.
To me, each session feels like a tree – its branches and roots interwoven in quiet, meaningful ways. Through the lens of psychoanalysis and philosophy, we’ve learned to re-narrate ourselves and arrive at a sense of “we” that is always in the making, always evolving through shared dialogue.
If I were to summarize what this journey has offered me, it would be the deep human connections I’ve had the privilege to form and the shared space of transformation that emerges when we think, question, and create together. This experience has enriched not only my intellectual practice but my emotional and personal world. and I remain committed to continuing this path of collective becoming.
