Our approach is based on structured group dialogue. Participants are supported to listen, give reasons, ask questions, consider examples, and engage respectfully with different perspectives.

Our focus is Persian- and Kurdish-speaking communities, especially young women there, who are often marginalised and disadvantaged in multiple ways. Besides working with young women, we also help refugees and asylum seekers who have immigrated to the UK, and suffer from feelings of displacement and alienation.

Our mission is to make education more accessible to those communities, as an end in itself, and as a means to independence, well-being. We envisage education in a broad, holistic sense. Education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also involves critical pedagogy and developing individuals’ capacities for critical thinking, creative self-expression, and civic participation. Through education and other support, young women in these communities can live with dignity and independence, shaping their own futures, and navigating challenges with confidence. We also aim to empower young women in the Persian- and Kurdish-speaking world to help build their own communities and bring about lasting social change.

To work towards this future, we want to grow into a leading space for critical education and community-building. We aim to expand our reach and refine our approach so that learning is more accessible, engaging, and transformative. To achieve this, we will work with partners, educators, and researchers who share our vision, ensuring that our programmes continue to evolve and respond to real needs. We hope to build a lasting organisation that empowers individuals and communities, ensuring that those who were once excluded have the power to lead, create, and thrive.
